The first few months of school have been full of excitement and school spirit here at the Zic Building! We kicked off our PBIS program with an amazing assembly featuring The Harlem Magic Masters Basketball Team. Students had a blast watching the show and even got to take part in some of the fun activities.

Everyone was thrilled for the grand re-opening of our newly stocked PBIS R.O.A.R. Store! Students were eager to spend their hard-earned points on a variety of new and exciting prizes.

In October, our school focused on spreading kindness. After a week of Kindness Circles and a special kindness project, we joined together as a district to celebrate World Kindness Day on October 22nd by wearing orange. The next day, students and staff wore pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

The fun continued with our PBIS Halloween Party on October 24th! Students enjoyed playing games, dancing, taking photos, eating snacks, and spending time with friends. One of the highlights of the day was the Donut Eating Contest, where students tried to eat a hanging donut—without using their hands!

Our Spirit Week began on October 27th and brought even more excitement to the building! Each day had a fun theme — students showed off their school spirit by wearing Halloween colors, sports jerseys, mismatched outfits, and pajamas. The week concluded on Halloween Day, when everyone came dressed in their creative costumes for our festive Halloween Parade and trick-or-treating throughout the building.

It’s been a fantastic start to the school year, and we’re looking forward to even more fun and exciting activities in the months ahead as we continue to learn, grow, and celebrate together!

Thank you Ms. Grieve for compiling these wonderful photos!
