Related Services

The District serves the educational needs of students from when they enter the District until age 21, or until they receive their high school diplomas. In consonance with state requirements, the District conducts evaluations and/or utilizes evaluation information available from sending districts to determine the required services.

Following an evaluation, children ages 5-21 receive school-based services through our dynamic team of district staff, including special education teachers, psychologists, social workers, speech, occupational and physical therapists.

An Individual Educational Plan (IEP), which addresses the unique needs of the individual learner, is drawn up for all children who have difficulties affecting their ability to learn including academic, social-emotional, and behavioral challenges. The IEP for every student is reviewed annually; the District conducts a comprehensive re-evaluation every three years.
