Last week, teachers, related service providers, student support staff, monitors and aides participated in two Professional Development Trainings.

Staff took part in an ongoing training, called Restorative Practices, which is an approach Greenburgh Graham UFSD has committed to implementing district-wide to help our students and build school community.   Restorative Practices are implemented to build relationships and social-emotional skills among school communities, which in turn leads to positive academic collaboration and learning.

Teachers and clinicians also participated in Educational Benefit training, which helps develop meaningful and rigorous Individualized Education Plan (IEP)s for students.  The training strengthened knowledge in practices for teachers and helped to identify how to translate individualized student needs into measurable annual goals, program modifications, testing accommodations, and more to better support our GGUFSD students.
